Framework to Table: A Regenerative Feast of Innovation
Where ancient wisdom and modern innovation gather around the kitchen table with today's most inspiring guides
An Invitation to the Table
Food is our most ancient language of love, our way of remembering we're all human together. When we gather around a meal, magic happens - hearts open, barriers dissolve, new possibilities emerge.
The Kitchen Gathering
In my heart, this is how my imagination works - I imagine a gathering in my kitchen with thinkers, makers, caregivers, stewards, heartwarmers, Spirit Rock-ers, and pattern makers who've nourished my practice and understanding over the years. Some have been mentors through their books and teachings, feeding my curiosity and inspiring experiments. Others are newer guides whose wisdom I'm just beginning to discover, eager to learn more from their work and ways of seeing.
Whether you're building products, shaping organizations, or nurturing communities, these dishes offer fresh ingredients for creating things that generate more life and possibility. Think of it as a cookbook for innovation that feeds not just the mind, but the heart and soul of what we make together.
The kitchen fills with warmth as I picture us cooking together, wisdom flowing as naturally as conversations over chopped vegetables and simmering pots. In my mind's eye, I see Brené Brown and Joanna Macy deep in conversation about vulnerability and living systems while peeling garlic, while at the stove, adrienne maree brown and Marty Cagan discover surprising connections between emergent strategy and product development as they taste test the sauce together. Seth Godin joins their conversation, chopping herbs and adding insights about how ideas move through communities like flavors through a dish.
From now into Thanksgiving, I'm sharing these kitchen gatherings as a way to explore how we might create a world with more heart and joy. Through thirteen dishes, you can read how different ways of seeing and knowing can blend together, like ingredients combining to make something surprisingly delicious. This is my way of bringing together ideas that often live in separate worlds - from systems thinking to indigenous wisdom, from product development to poetry - and seeing what new flavors might emerge when we cook them together.

How to Use These Recipes
While I present these courses in a carefully considered sequence, like any skilled chef, you'll develop an intuition for what your creation needs in any moment. Each dish stands complete on its own while contributing to a greater whole. Feel free to move between them as your work calls for different forms of nourishment.
A Note on My Approach
These dishes represent not a complete menu of innovation, but rather the recipes that feel most vital for this moment - each one can teach something essential about how we might create more thoughtfully in the world.
Let's Begin
As we clear the introductions away, our first course beckons. The Art of Welcome awaits, where john a. powell, Radha Agrawal, Toko-pa Turner and Starhawk, will guide us in a tea ceremony that teaches us the profound art of creating spaces where everyone belongs. I see that true innovation begins with the warmth of a good invitation.
A Personal Note on These Places
Each dish and location in this menu holds meaning for me - some are places I've lived or visited, others I've connected with through their food and culture, and a few remain beautiful aspirations in my journey. From having tea in homes in Fez to the street foods of Mumbai, from the family kitchens of Gujarat to the cafes of Paris, these places have shaped my understanding of how food, community, and creation weave together. Their traditions and innovations continue to teach me about the art of making things that matter.
Thank you for bringing humans together in such a thoughtful way. The magic ripples through us all. 🌈🧚
